Test Bench
Before we start, SiSoftware isn’t your typical benchmarking tool. The metrics you see below may not represent the exact product at launch. All in all, based on the fact that we have these numbers months before launch, they will suffice. The Ryzen 5 7600 here is clocked at 3.79GHz using the Windows OS. Now let’s get to the performance numbers.
Performance
The Ryzen 5 7600 scores 259.72GOPS in the Processor Arithmetic test and 1,084.75Mpix/s in the Processor Multi-Media test. To put that into perspective, here are a few charts to show where the Ryzen 5 7600 stands. This CPU lags behind the Ryzen 5 7600X but not by a huge margin. It is still a respectable improvement over the Ryzen 5 5600X. In processor multi-media testing, the 7600 is marginally slower than the Alder Lake based i5-12600K. All things considered, this does look like an interesting CPU and the final verdict shall be made based on its pricing.
Ryzen 5 7600
The upcoming Ryzen 5 7600 is expected to deliver fast performance and that too at a cheap price. Shipping with 6 cores and 12 threads, expect it to gain some market share from Intel if it is priced correctly. The TDP will stand at 65W. This may be the first sub $300 CPU from AMD’s Ryzen 7000 lineup.
