Even though it hasn’t been that long since The Last of Us Part 2 was released, rumors have been circulating for quite some time about what Naughty Dog is planning to do next. We are already familiar with the fact that a sequel to Factions is expected to be released in 2023. If you haven’t heard, Factions is an upcoming standalone multiplayer game. An entirely new IP with a fantasy theme has been rumored to be in the works at the studio. There have been rumors that the team is also developing The Last of Us 3. Also, as Part 2 was released almost two years ago, and there is a multiplayer project in the works in addition to a TV show to attract new fans, it would make perfect sense to finish the story with a third act in a trilogy. There is currently no information available about the plot of the third game or the characters involved. Naughty Dog has a lot of options for how to wrap up the series, and this could be one of them. It’s worth noting that ViewerAnon identified Druckmann’s next project as Part 3. It’s possible that due to Naughty Dog’s rapid growth in recent years, multiple projects are being worked on simultaneously.
