Navi 31
The specs for AMD’s Navi 31 were leaked by angstronomics a while back.

Similarly, Navi 31 was also benchmarked and compared against NVIDIA’s offerings.
Trouble for NVIDIA?
Navi 21 was able to hit ~2.4GHz, so a generational leap is increasing frequencies by ~70%. That’s insane ‘if true’. However, HXL did say ‘almost’ and the new 5nm process node is an uplift of around 1.25x. So Navi 31’s actual clock speeds should be around ~3.5GHz (2.8GHz Max for Navi21 * 1.25). Should NVIDIA be worried? Definitely, although their silicon is also clocking in at around ~3.0GHz, so the max possible could be in the 3.6–3.7GHz territory.
Release Date
With such insane clock speeds, we are definitely waiting for these GPUs to launch. Lucky for us, AMD will announce their RDNA3 lineup within the upcoming weeks. Are you excited to see how far AMD’s silicon can go this year?
